What is #OutFam?
The #OutdoorFamilies Network started the #OutFam tweetchat as a means for like-minded people to gather around a proverbial campfire to swap tips, tricks, stories, and ideas on topics that cover everything from camping and hiking to letterboxing and roadschooling. Join us on Twitter every Wednesday from 1:30 – 2:00 pm Pacific Standard Time (PST) for an informative, and usually hilarious conversation!
Tweetchat Etiquette:
- It’s always nice to let your Twitter followers know before the chat that they’ll be seeing a lot of messages from you. They’ll appreciate the heads up, and won’t be annoyed by your Twitter stream. Or, better yet, invite them to the tweet chat if you think they may be interested in Outdoor Families.
- Be sure to add the #OutFam hashtag to ALL tweetchat tweets so participants can view your messages in the conversation.
- Each week, the #OutFam tweetchat welcomes a new host or two. They mark each question with Q (for question) and the number of the question (Q1, Q2, etc). When you tweet an answer, start with A (for answer), and the number of the original question (A1, A2, etc) so other participants can view a response with the correct question.
- Re-tweeting posts of other #OutFam tweeps is a cool way to support statements from other tweeters and share them with your own networks.
See you in the Twitterverse!
